A youngish fellow whose craft is audial, Ekblad is the brainchild of Tyler Heaton, who just released his first single into the world. The tune, “cold, with hope,” displays an immense artistic vision for his first offering. Ekblad self produced this in his bedroom, mixed it in our studio at NAMS, and released it independently. Listen to the preview below, and make sure to check the whole track out on Spotify, Soundcloud, and Apple Music.
We are super proud of Adrian Lyles. He filmed his debut music video here in studio at NAMS. This song, “Nobody Knows My Name,” is a clever, thoughtful, and beautiful entrance into the world of original composition.
We are super proud of Linnea Skold! She recorded her first original single, Stone by Stone, here in studio at NAMS. Linnea is a fifteen year old freshman at Frisco High School, and an up and coming musician who is proud to be from Frisco!
This is an exciting one for NAMS and the students who pursue their music here at the facility. 3@4 started off at our facility in private lessons. They quickly joined together as a live band playing covers of classic and indie rock music. Seasoned in live gigs, the band moved towards the journey of writing, recording, and releasing original content. “Sulking In The Rain” is the first original product of 3@4. With it’s catchy hooks, intriguing storyline, and assertive performance, the band shows promise of a bright future. Recorded here at NAMS, we are thrilled to share with you the first of what’s to come from these talented artists.

Students of all ages are busier than ever, with a myriad of activities in their weekly schedules: from basketball, volleyball & tennis practice, swimming lessons, music lessons, religions events, sleepovers with friends & visiting family members… the list goes on, and we know a lot of our students here at NAMS find themselves in seasons of absolute exhaustion, whether age 5 or age 15.
Hey NAMS Fam!
We are keeping the spirit of Thanksgiving alive with NAMSgivin this year. NAMSgivin is a variety show that features top talent from the school and staff musicians.
The show is Monday, November 27th from 6-10pm at Lava Cantina the Colony. The show is free to attend and we highly encourage you to come support the music community in North Dallas.
Although it’s free, we suggest a $10 donation if you have the means available. NAMSgivin is our chance to give back. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Hurricane Harvey Benefit. We will be passing a bucket around, as well as be available to run CCs through the NAMS merchant system.
There will be food and drinks available from Lava Cantina, and of course music sourced from our community at NAMS.
This is about as good as it gets for a music lineup on a Monday night!
Come see live performances of classic rock, jazz, soul, folk, hip hop, blues, and pop music.
You are officially INVITED!
